TGIF: My Most Valuable Book

June 15, 2012

FRIDAY, Y’ALL.

*does Friday dance*

Most Valuable Book: From your personal collection of books, which ones hold the most value to you – is it signed by the author? or maybe it’s your favorite story of all time? Share it with us.

I was so excited about this week’s question that I VLOGGED it.

I actually made WAY MORE of a vlog than that, but apparently my start-up disk is almost full and it quit recording without me realizing it, so I was just going on and on about stuff like a giant dork.

Like how I’m so grateful and honored and sort of flattered that both Farrah Penn and Rachel Scroggins grabbed books for me at BEA when it turned out I wasn’t gonna make it there because I couldn’t get out of work.

And then the story of my most hilariously signed book, A Great and Terrible Beauty by Libba Bray, who asked me if my name is spelled like the housewife’s. (Bethenny Frankel.) It is not.

Can we all just take a moment and appreciate how GORGEOUS Libba Bray’s handwriting is?

And then I made the mistake of talking about 1) my complete collection of Jane Austen, which an ex bought me before we were together, and 2) my collection of Buffy the Vampire Slayer comic books.

Yeahhhhh. Be glad my computer’s start-up disk is almost full.

HAPPY FRIDAY!

Love the vlog – and totally agree that books with a story have the most special meaning. And I guess now I HAVE to read Hourglass 🙂
