Tune in Tuesday: The National Sings a Game of Thrones Song

June 12, 2012

So, perhaps I’m a little obsessed with Game of Thrones.

(It’s fine.)

And perhaps I really like this band called The National.

And perhaps The National sang a song for the Game of Thrones soundtrack.

Yeah. That happened.

And it’s not a situation where one of their songs was used for the soundtrack. They recorded one of the folk songs that is talked about in the books a lot to be played during the credits of a really huge episode of the series, in which MANY THINGS changed.

It was WAY exciting for this little nerdgirl right here.

Happy Tuesday!

Tune in Tuesday is a weekly meme hosted by Ginger at GReads!

I don’t watch GoT either, but I can definitely see this fitting in perfectly! I really enjoyed listening to this, I’m in love with the vocalist’s voice!

His voice is kind of haunting but I love the lyrics. Aaaand I still haven’t gotten around to watching this series. ONE DAY. My mom’s kind of obsessed with the books. xD
