Crush of the Day: Anthony Bourdain

During my (hopefully brief) stint of unemployment, I have been watching a LOT of television, which has inspired me to create a new column: Crush of the Day. For my inaugural crush, I have chosen badass chef/writer/travel host, Anthony Bourdain.

The host of Travel Channel show, Anthony Bourdain’s No Reservations (which has been a marathon today leading up to the premiere of the new season tonight), Bourdain travels the world in search of awesome food and drink in seedy underbelly sorts of places, which is always my speed. To make this even more compelling, his show comes with a parental advisory warning because not only does he have a bit of a potty mouth, he also tends to make pretty hilarious sex jokes. As if that weren’t enough in and of itself, the man also has a penchant for making high literature references AND poking fun of Rachel Ray’s super perky food/travel franchise on an almost episodic basis.

 All of that rolled together creates one very intriguing, grittily sexy, intelligent man that not only loves food and travel, but likes to get drunk and tell dirty jokes too. Need I say more?
